There are tremendous benefits to waking up early. Waking up early can boost your productivity but can also help you with many health benefits. With an early start of the day, you are more likely to catch up on exercise or walk. This will expose you to sunlight and get your daily dose of vitamin D. Sleeping early and waking early can also help your immunity restore at night.

But with winter on the horizon, many of us find it extremely difficult to wake up from our slumber. We tend to sleep in more. This compromises our health tremendously. A great and early start of the day is a must if you want to gain extra health benefits. Here are 3 ways one can get up early in the mornings.

No Screen Before Sleep

Research tells that screen time before sleeping can reduce your ability to fall asleep. The glare from the screen and devices can change the body’s melatonin level. Therefore it is recommended to get away from any screen, TV or mobile, half an hour before one goes to sleep.

Place Your Alarm Across the Room

This is a genius hack. If you place your alarm across the room, it would force you to wake up and walk over to turn it off. By the time you walk and turn off your alarm, your body will lose its sleepiness.

Natural Light

Our bodies are naturally responsive to the environment. Many would find it difficult to sleep in bright sunlight. One can make sure to keep their curtains open to let the natural sunlight come through in the morning. This can help you wake up.

If you still find it difficult to wake up, then you must set smaller goals to achieve your dream. If you naturally wake up at 10 then trying to wake up at 6 would be very difficult. Instead, try to wake up at 8 then 7 then 6. Slowly rewire your body’s habit to fit your goals.
