5 Myths and Facts About Stomach Cancer

Myth 1: Prolonged indigestion means colon cancer

In the problem of stomach cancer, initially, the patient has the problem of acidity and belching, which can persist for a long time. But this does not mean that the problem of indigestion or belching in the stomach is directly related to stomach cancer. Cancer is confirmed only after the doctor's advice on showing its symptoms.

Myth 2: Stomach doesn't hurt but other symptoms show it doesn't mean cancer

Truth: Actually many people have this question that stomach pain is not a problem but if symptoms related to stomach cancer are visible, then it means that I do not have stomach cancer. In fact, doctors believe that in the early days of colon cancer, the patient may not have problems with abdominal pain. Myth 3: Colon cancer is rare

Truth: It is true that very few people have the problem of colon cancer. But this does not mean that despite showing its symptoms, you should assume that you do not have the problem of colon cancer. Actually, the problem of colon cancer can be in many organs of the stomach. In India, most of the patients with stomach cancer are found more in the north-eastern part of the country.

Myth 4: Colon cancer is not caused by genetics

Truth: Even though colon cancer is not considered a genetic disease, it can also be caused by genetic factors. People who have a family history of colon cancer have a 70 percent higher risk of developing this problem.

Myth 5: There is no cure for colon cancer

Truth: Recognizing its symptoms at the right time and consulting a doctor, this disease can be cured at the very beginning. It is difficult to cure when it is detected in the fourth stage of the problem of stomach cancer, but it is beneficial to digest its symptoms and take treatment in the early stages. In severe cases, it is treated with chemotherapy.
