Sweating is natural in this hot weather. It helps keep your body cool when the temperature surrounding you gets too hot. Sweating is a normal response of the body to this weather however excessive sweating can be a matter of worry.

Excessive sweating owing to hot summer temperature is normal but excessive sweating with no clear reason may indicate a medical issue. Medical issues like low blood sugar, pregnancy, or certain medications also promote excessive sweating. Excessive sweating is also known as hyperhidrosis.

We all need to maintain our body temperature to normal or cool as the temperature outside is very hot and humid. Here are some tips that can help you in attaining it. Wearing light-colored clothes, staying at home, and having nutritious cooling foods are some of them.

Avoid stress and anxiety – Our body tends to sweat in any stressful or panic situation. Stress and anxiety can be the major cause of excessive sweating if not any medical issue. For this, you can do meditation or can try relaxation techniques to calm your mind.

Use of antiperspirants – Antiperspirants have the properties to block sweat ducts. This way the sweat produced by the sweat gland doesn't reach the skin. Clean your armpit first, make it dry, and then apply it. You can also apply antiperspirant before going to bed also. Applying antiperspirants while going out will reduce sweating and body odor throughout the day.

Reduce your salt intake – Avoid foods that are high in sodium content. Avoiding this will reduce body sweating since the body tries to remove excess sodium in the form of sweat. Thus, limit your salt intake in summers.

Aloe vera gel – Aloe vera gel has innumerous health benefits, especially for skincare. And in summers, the use is much more evident. It not only acts as a coolant that cools your skin but is also anti-inflammatory. This will avoid summer rashes and skin irritation. You can also do coffee scrubs. Mix it with some drops of coconut oil, and this becomes the perfect exfoliator. This prevents excessive sweating.

Limit spicy foods and hot beverages – Spicy foods contain lots of chilies which contain capsaicin as its active compound. This capsaicin causes excess sweating. Try avoiding hot beverages like hot tea, and hot coffee. These caffeinated products trigger sweat, so try replacing these with fruit juices, coconut water, or lemonade. Coconut water is full of electrolytes and good for summers and lemonade is high in vitamin C, good for the body.
