What is Alzheimer's?

Alzheimer's disease is a type of mental illness that severely affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Its symptoms will initially seem normal to you, but gradually as it takes a serious form, then you will not feel unable to do your daily work. But do not panic, this disease mostly comes in old age people. 

Symptoms of Alzheimer's usually begin to occur after the age of 60. The disease was first discovered as "an incurable disease" in 1906, by the German physician Dr. Alois Alzheimer. He said that it would be a disease that would change your brain which we now know as Alzheimer's.

Do not take memory loss lightly 

Memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer's are not to be taken lightly. It was estimated by the World Health Organization that the number of elderly people in developing countries is increasing, due to which the effect of Alzheimer's on them will be visible. Many people still do not know about Alzheimer's. According to a recent study, the data for 2020 Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures states that Alzheimer's disease is emerging as a common problem today.

Early signs of Alzheimer's

The early symptoms of Alzheimer's are so minor that you can't understand what the matter is. Such as forgetting to keep things, becoming in a state of confusion, lack of attention to time, distance from social activities, change in mood and personality, stress situation arises, etc. If the condition is severe then symptoms like seizures, frequent urination, difficulty in swallowing food, skin infections will start showing.

Preventive measures

There is currently no complete cure for Alzheimer's disease. Scientific research on this is still going on. That is why you must take care of your mental health in time.

Be free from stress, do not stress the mind. Follow a healthy lifestyle, reduce stress, and most importantly, include those foods in your diet, which can help in keeping your brain healthy.

What is a healthy brain diet?

Nuts

According to the Diet study, walnuts are a good choice for brain health. Nuts are rich in healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants.

Nuts will protect you from Alzheimer's if you are a vegetarian. Other studies have found that nuts may help lower bad cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.

Berries

Berries are the only powerful food item to keep yourself mentally healthy. Berries are so beneficial for your brain that doctors often recommend eating them. By consuming it, you can reduce the risk of mental diseases like Alzheimer's.

Beans

If beans are not a regular part of your diet, make them a part of your diet. It is high in fiber and protein. While low in calories and fat, which helps to keep your mind sharp. According to researchers, it is recommended to eat beans three times a week to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's.

Fish

Fish should be consumed at least once a week. Various studies have shown that fish helps protect brain function.

Fatty fish is a good source of vitamin D, which protects you from diseases like Alzheimer's. 

If you want to avoid Alzheimer's, then definitely include Omega 3 in your diet. 

Other Important Diets

Green leafy vegetables, olive oil, grains, and red meat are also very beneficial for your brain. which keeps your brain healthy for a long time.
