Bihar government has instructed to conduct random covid tests in all educational institutions including schools. This decision has been taken after positive cases were reported in two government schools of Munger and one school from the Gaya district.

Bihar government has instructed to conduct random covid tests in all educational institutions including schools. This decision has been taken after positive cases were reported in two government schools of Munger and one school from the Gaya district.

Principal Secretary,  Education Department,  Sanjay Kumar said schools will be closed after detection of even a single positive case. Mr. Kumar said instruction has been given to educational institutions to follow covid protocol strictly.

Meanwhile, two lakh 50 thousand 447 patients have so far recovered from the Covid-19 infection in Bihar. The number of active cases of COVID-19 is continuously declining and currently stands at four thousand 50. In all, 504 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, while 452 new COVID-19 cases have been reported.


COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.86 percent in Bihar. Over one lakh 91 thousand corona tests were carried out during the last 24 hours. Over one crore 90 lakh corona tests have been conducted in the state so far
