He informs that semen discharge through wet dreams and nightfalls are common phenomena in males and they should not be worried about the same.

Wet Dreams and Seminal Discharge are Normal Phenomena in Males

Dr. Kumar Kamble informs, “Wet dreams are a common natural activity and not a health problem. Wet dreams are related to the normal anatomy of the body in males. It is very important for males to understand and have knowledge about the normal anatomy and physiological process. The main reproductive organs in males are the penis and testes. Testes are located in the scrotum produce semen and sperms. Semen and sperms are released during sexual activity which leads to reproductivity. Sperms are produced at the age of 13 years in males. There are various other parts in males reproductive health like seminal vesicles, vas deferens, and prostate which contribute to the production of semen.”

The life cycle of sperm

Dr. Kamble informs, “The total production rate of sperms is 20,000 sperms per minute in the normal male body. The inactive and dead sperms are regularly replaced with healthy sperms. The lifespan of each sperm is 20-25 days.”

Seminal discharge through nightfalls is very normal

Dr. Kamble says, “If there is no sexual activity or self-stimulation, the sperm tends to become inactive and dies. The inactive and dead sperms are released from the body through seminal discharge or nightfalls. There is no functional mechanism to store the excess or dead sperms in the body hence it is released through seminal discharge and nightfalls. Excess and inactive sperms are released from the body during nightfall. This is a natural activity. This activity is the same as passing urine or stools where we need to throw out or release excess water or waste from our body.”

The seminal discharge does not cause any negative impact on the body

Dr. Kamble clarifies, “Seminal discharge through nightfall does not cause any negative impact on the body. Just as in the case of overgrowth of hairs or long nails, trimming and cutting it short is extremely essential. Also, passing urine and stools is extremely important to release unwanted toxins from the body. Similarly, the release of sperms is a completely natural activity and an important process to release excess sperms through the body. It does not cause any negative impact on the overall health of the body.”

Loss of semen does not cause any weakness of the body

Dr.Kamble points out, “Semen is a very normal and common byproduct in the male physiological process. The loss of semen through nightfall does not cause any negative impact on health. Accumulation of inactive and dead sperms results in the discharge of seminal discharge which is very common. Loss of sperms or semen in males through nightfalls is a very natural process. Many people think that loss of sperms can cause a negative impact on the body. This is very untrue and nightfalls do not need any treatment. Nightfall is not a health problem. It is a normal activity of the body and similar to the menstrual cycle in females and males should not be worried that semen loss due to wet dreams,” informs Dr. Kamble.
