Many changes have been made in these new guidelines of corona testing. In this, it has been told which people do not need corona testing.

People who came in contact with the corona patient do not need the test unless they are of high health risk. For example, people in contact who are over 60 years of age, have diabetes, high blood pressure disease, chronic lung or kidney disease and obesity, etc., then they need the test, otherwise, it is not needed.
People living in community places who do not have symptoms of Kovid will not need the test.
Such persons who have been discharged on the basis of the guidelines of home isolation also do not need the test.
Such persons who have been discharged from the Kovid-19 center on the basis of the revised discharge policy, also do not need the test. In fresh advisory for testing COVID samples, ICMR says contacts of COVID patients do not need testing unless identified as high risk based on age or comorbidities
People traveling from one state to another also no longer need to undergo the Covid tests.

Further testing can be done either through RT-PCR, CBNAAT, CRISPR, RT-LAMP, Rapid Molecular Testing Systems, or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). Along with this, it has also been told in the guidelines that persons with symptoms, whose home test report has come negative, should undergo RAT or RT-PCR test. Apart from this, relief has been given to patients having surgical or non-surgical procedures, including pregnant women who have been admitted for delivery and are not showing symptoms of Kovid-19. Apart from this, hospitalized patients should not be tested more than once a week.
