Foods that needs to be avoided this summer

In summers, digestive issues are not just because of hot weather but instead your bad eating habits. Here is the list of foods that should be avoided during summers.

In summers, digestive issues are very common owing to high temperatures. But the disturbed stomach is not just because of hot weather but instead your bad eating habits and an unhealthy lifestyle. In summers we need to keep our bodies cool as the surrounding temperature is too hot. It's good to have high water content and alkaline foods that help keep the body hydrated.

Fried and junk foods – Junk and fried foods are hard to digest, it leaves the stomach bloated. Eating an excess of fried food can have a worse impact on our skin too. Excess consumption of fried foods gives rise to a lot of skin problems like acne and other digestive issues.

Ice creams – Ice creams contain lots of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates that cause the problem of digestion. Hence try to consume ice cream only when your body temperature is normal. Avoid eating ice cream right after coming from outside, it may cause cold symptoms like sore throat and fever.

Excess salt – High sodium content in the body can give rise to high blood pressure and heart diseases. A high intake of sodium makes the kidney overwork to remove excess salt, thus may result in dehydration. Hence it is suggested to limit the intake of salt in summers. Many of us have the habit of eating pickles with our meals. But don't forget pickles are high in sodium which can lead to water retention.

Meat – Consuming meat in summer increases the pressure on the digestive system. This also contains a rich amount of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates and causes digestive problems. Summer is not the right time to eat non-vegetarian food.

Mangoes – However summer is the only season for mangoes, it doesn’t mean you overindulge them. Excess of anything is bad for your health. Moderation is the key to good health. Consuming too many mangoes can give rise to other digestive issues plus it has lots of natural sugar.

Hot drinks (tea and coffee) – These hot drinks can increase your body heat. They also dehydrate your body. And we are not unfamiliar with the complications of dehydration.

Spicy foods – Spicy foods contain lots of chilies and chilies are high in capsaicin. Capsaicin badly affects the body balance and causes excessive sweat which further results in dehydration and disorders.
