A sick woman who has a number of symptoms like respiratory distress which are also associated with the deadly disease is admitted in hospital. Another youth from East Midnapore is also being treated for the disease.

A Bangladeshi woman has been admitted in the infectious diseases hospital in Beliaghata here on Thursday with suspected symptoms of coronavirus, an official said.The sick woman has a number of symptoms like respiratory distress which are also associated with the deadly disease.Her husband has returned from Dubai recently.


Another youth from Bhagabanpur in East Midnapore district is also being brought to the ID hospital with several classical symptoms of the disease which has affected 30 people in India so far.The youth has just returned from Indonesia.


Earlier The ID&BG Hospital on Wednesday admitted three suspects of the coronavirus in the isolation ward set up for the Covid19 containment.State government has also put up thermal screening processes at the airport for screening the suspects.The first victim from Dum Dum showed signs after some of her friends travelled to Thailand.Though her friends tested negative, she was tested positive for the virus.The second patient is from South 24 parganas who had travel history to affected regions while third is from Ranaghat.
