President Jair Bolsonaro continues to insist that it is a "little flu" and that there is no need for sharp restrictions in the nation

Brazil is apparently an emerging hotspot of Coronavirus when the global curve is almost flattening and number declining after reaching over 30lakh infections. This is primarily because the country’s president Jair Bolsonaro continues to insist that it is a "little flu" and that there is no need for sharp restrictions in the nation.

An AP report suggests that this Latin American country is now observing the death of more victims at home. A virologist at the University of Sao Paulo, Paulo Brandao, assumes that the pandemic could become "much more serious" in Brazil.

So far Brazil has officially reported about 67,000 confirmed infections and 4,500 deaths. However, the report gives a hint that there could be far more cases and deaths in Brazil.

According to the news agency, some scientists are of the opinion that above 1 million people in Brazil are apparently infected. And since the winter is approaching in the country respiratory illness caused due to COVID-19 could intensify.
