Latest update on COVID-19 ; Telengana, J&K, Haryana

The Telangana state government is making all arrangements to receive and quarantine over 2,300 stranded Indians who are coming home from various countries. Chief of Airport Health Organization in Samshabad International Airport and Senior Regional Director for Telangana Andhra Pradesh in Health Department, Dr Anuradha informed our AIR Correspondent that the first flight will reach Hyderabad tomorrow evening from Kuwait. She said 9 flights will reach Hyderabad from 6 countries and 8 airports.

The state Government is making all arrangements for quarantine the passengers at their choice either in in budget hotels or Government set up Centres.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir government today said it is fully aware of the number of J&K residents stranded outside and is organizing special trains for their return.

The nodal officer said all those have registered will be facilitated through trains and arrangements are being finalised with sending states and railway authorities.

The government has said those stranded outside India, who intend to return to J&K, should register in the respective embassies of the countries.

The persons stranded in other states have been asked to approach respective nodal officers.

10 corona patients recovered & discharged from hospitals in Haryana :

In Haryana, 10 corona patients have been recovered and discharged from hospitals and 8 new cases reported positive for Covid-19 today till afternoon.

AIR correspondent reports, today 6 corona patients cured in Faridabad, 3 in Sonepat and one in Panipat.

As the number of cured persons has also gone up to 270, the number of active Covid-19 patients is 355 now, who are under treatment in the state.

The number of positive persons for novel corona virus found in the state so far has risen to 633. The 7 positive persons have died so far.
