Government has rejected a claim made in WhatsApp forward that there will be a military lockdown in Mumbai for ten days starting tomorrow.

In other news,Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has came up with an innovative idea of deploying a Mobile Laundry- a dedicated vehicle equipped with washing machines for providing free washing of clothes to the inmates of administrative quarantine centres on turn by turn basis.

The idea is to enable inmates to stay with clean clothes, bed sheets, blankets and pillow covers, maintain good personal hygiene and also feel relieved of the work of washing their belongings during their stay in administrative quarantine.

The facility has so far washed over 5000 clothing by way of stopping at every quarantine centre daily.

The team deputed for the task of washing is taking full precautions by wearing masks, resorting to self sanitization and maintaining safe distancing all the time.

The initiative of Mobile Laundry has won great appreciation of the inmates of quarantine centres, who say it has lessened their woes during their quarantine stay.

Meanwhile in Puducherry, only 2 Covid-19 positive cases are treated in the Kadirkamam Indira Gandhi Government Medical College hospital, Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao said today.

Speaking to news persons here, Minister Rao said already two patients were admitted in the medical college and one in Mahe Government general hospital taking the total Puducherry case to three .

On Thursday evening a driver from Madagadipet area tested positive and admitted to the medical college taking the total Puducherry cases to four.

Meanwhile, one patient from the Medical college and the one from Mahe were discharged today bring down the total Puducherry cases to two.

Already three cases from Cuddalore (Panrutti) and 2 positive patients from Villupuram districts of Tamil Nadu were admitted to JIPMER taking the total to five at JIPMER.


Further Minister Rao requested the Puducherry people not to travel to Cuddalore and Villupuram districts of Tamil Nadu for any reasons, since the virus infection is fast spreading there.
