If not exercise then diet your way to fitness

Don’t have time to hit the gym? Try changing your diet to stay slim.

It’s totally understandable that it’s difficult for you find time from every day tight schedule and hit the gym. But do not worry. You can compensate it by bringing in some dietary changes which will help you lose and maintain a healthy weight.

First, watch what you are eating. Always monitor the size of the portion you consume. Use smaller plate to fed yourself. Take only as much as you need to satiate your hunger. Fill the plate with adequate proportion of salads, roasted veggies and soups.

Second, include fibre and protein rich foods in your diet. Extra carbs means extra weight. Instead switch to fibre rich foods like beans, grains, fruits, and vegetables that will only fill you up but also act as appetite suppressants as you end up feeling fuller for a long time.

Third, cut down on sugar, processed foods and all-purpose flour. If you can completely cut down on all of these, great. If not then at least reduce their intake.

Fourth, don’t drink your calories. Stay away from sugary sodas, calorie rich smoothies and juices. Instead opt for fresh vegetable juice or smoothies without any sweeteners.
