Staying happy is easier than you think

▴ Staying happy
Just a little tweak in your lifestyle, and your pursuit of happiness can be a successful one.

The factor that causes maximum stress in todays’ world, is time.  The problem is that people think faster is better. It only leads to unwanted stress, fatigue, sleeplessness and unhappiness. Seeing the glass half full is an acquired taste. You can train yourself to look for the good in things around you. You can mould yourself into thinking positive and be more optimistic. Here are some small and simple ways to beat the blues, stay energised and work your way ahead in life.

Meditation : It helps you focus. In a world full of undesired attractions and distractions, staying focussed is the key. This mental exercise is so powerful that you can rewire your brain, turning you into a more joyful person.

Expressing gratitude : More often than not our failures, worries, and discontent shape our thinking and behaviour. They make us negative and pessimistic. To overcome this, on a daily basis, list three things you are grateful for in life. Slowly, your brain will start focussing on the good in life, filtering the bad.

Random acts of kindness : Being kind to someone teaches you not everyone is out to get you. Once you achieve that paradigm shift, you have a better perspective to deal with external frustrations. It also evokes a sense of altruism in oneself.
