Minister of state for health interacts with Satara girl stuck in Wuhan province in China

Coronavirus Update for Maharashtra : Satara girl to be assisted for transfer from Wuhan : 3 people under observation at Pune and Mumbai.

A young girl from the Satara district of the state is stranded in the Wuhan province of China where the Corona virus has created havoc. The girl identified as Ashwini Avinash Patil has yesterday appealed through the social media to help her in returning to motherland.

Taking cognizance of her appeal, the minister of state Rajendra Patil Yadravkar contacted Ashwini on telephone and had a word with her. He gave her solace and assured her of all possible assistance in bringing her back to India.

Meanwhile, the minister of state Mr Patil yesterday contacted the Indian Embassy in China and appealed them to extend all possible assistance to Ashwini for returning to India. The Minister assured that Ashwini will soon return to her motherland. 26 students from India returned two weeks ago to Maharashtra and minister of state Mr Patil was instrumental in assisting them in returning to their land.

These students are presently kept under observation and will be soon released from Quarantine to go home. The health department will initiate the process for discharging them from hospitals, the minister said.

Meanwhile according to  State Health Minister,Mr Rajesh Tope - 

Three people have been kept under observation in Pune and Mumbai city on the backdrop of Corona virus. Till date, 39 people are admitted to Quarantine wards at various places of the state. Out of them, 36 have been discharged from the hospitals and they left for the home. Yesterday night, one passenger with complaint of mild symptoms of cold and cough was admitted to Naidu Hospital in Pune, whereas another one with similar symptoms was admitted to Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai.

Samples of 37 people were found to be negative in the laboratory test whereas the report of two samples will be received till tomorrow. Presently three people are admitted in hospitals out of which two are at Naidu hospital of Pune and one at the Kasturba Hospital of Mumbai, This information was given by Health Minister Mr Rajesh Tope.

25 thousand 782 passengers have been screened till date at the Mumbai International Airport. The search for the passengers who entered India from the affected areas is been done through regional surveys. Till date, 167 passengers came to India from the affected regions. Out of these 167 passengers, 84 were regularly contacted and the process of their follow up is over, the health minister added.
