Odisha has crossed another milestone in conducting over 6 million tests for covid-19.

The state, which has been conducting over 40 thousand tests per day, completed a total of 60,19,855 sample tests till Wednesday.

With the test results showing negativity as high as 94.6 8%, the active caseload has collapsed to 4186. It is for the first time in over four and a half months that the active cases in the state have gone down below 5 thousand.

 
As for the last 24 hours, the state reported 434 new cases as against 629 recovered cases. Moreover, while two out of the 30 districts of the state have not reported any case, four districts came up with a single case each during the last 24 hours.
