Now, more than 5 persons will not be allowed to assemble at a place. Government has also banned any type of social and religious programmes till October 31st. The decisions have been taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Government has also decided to start state helpline 181 from tomorrow to deal with grievances of COVID patients and their family members. This war room will work 24x7.

The Chief Minister has also instructed to establish control rooms in all the districts. Meanwhile, 1834 new cases have been reported in the state yesterday. The total number of COVID cases has increased to 1,13,124. With 14 deaths reported yesterday, the death toll has gone up to 1322.

More than Six crores 36 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted till now. The Health Ministry said, higher testing leads to early identification of positive cases, timely and effective treatment and low mortality.

During the last 24 hours, more than 94,612 COVID patients have recovered. The Ministry said the recovery rate of COVID-19 has further improved to 79.68 per cent. The total number of recoveries has reached over 43 lakh.

The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country is reduced and currently comprises only 18.72 per cent of the total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is 10 lakh 10 thousand.

The Ministry said, effective implementation of the Centre's strategic and graded 'Test-Track and Treat' approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.61 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally. In the last 24 hours, one thousand 133 deaths were reported taking the toll to 86 752.

The Health Ministry said, while the number of daily tests has increased as an integral part of CHASE THE VIRUS strategy, States have been advised that all symptomatic negatives of Rapid Antigen Tests are mandatorily subjected to RT-PCR.
