Rules to control your sugar intake

▴ sugar
Excessive sugar in body can cause numerous diseases including cancer and heart disease.

Did you know that sugar impacts your looks, causing weight gain, breakouts, wrinkles, tooth decay. Inflammation, migraine, anxiety, brain fog, gum disease, diabetes are other problems associated with excessive sugar in the body. In extreme cases it may also be the cause for cancer and heart disease.

Sugar addiction can be fatal, however there are ways to overcome the problem.

Get rid of artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners can raise the body mass index (BMI). This is because sweeteners trick the brain into thinking we need more sugar, causing you to overeat.

Avoid refined flour. When you eat flour, your body reacts to it as if was sugar, causing quick blood sugar and insulin spikes. Flour, just like sugar is hiding in almost everything we eat.

Start weighing your intake. Eating large volumes of food can be habitual and comforting. Environmental factors and triggers such as TV in the background and super-sized containers, cause us to underestimate how much we are eating.

Plan what you are eating. Also, plan when you would be eating. List what you will be eating when you dine out or what would be your snack or meals when you are on the go.
