The state conducted over 46,000 tests on Monday. The recovery rate also slightly improved to 88.15 per cent with 2,009 more people recovering on Monday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to one lakh 89,351.

Telangana reported 1,708 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of COVID cases in the state moved up to 2,14,792. 

The state conducted over 46,000 tests on Monday. The recovery rate also slightly improved to 88.15 per cent with 2,009 more people recovering on Monday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to one lakh 89,351. 

Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the State Medical and Health Department stated that total number of deaths rose to 1,233 following five more people succumbed to COVID and comorbidities during the past 24 hours.  

Meanwhile, 277 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hyderabad while the number of new cases in Ranga Reddy, Medchal Malkajgiri reported over hundred. Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam and Siddipet districts are among which reported considerably high number of cases during the past 24 hours. 

In Telangana, several parts including the state capital, Hyderabad are being lashed due to incessant rains. Many places especially in North and East Telangana districts have received heavy rainfall during the past 24 hours. Rivers and rivulets are on spate while streams are overflowing. Several projects are receiving heavy inflows due to heavy rains in the catchment areas.
 
The state administration has been put on high as the IMD sounded an of heavy to very heavy rains in several parts of the state. AIR correspondent reports, several parts of the North and East Telangana districts received heavy rainfall during the past 24 hours due to the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal. The entire state administration has been put on following Met officials issued a warning that heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at many places in the state. 
 
State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has directed district authorities to ensure no loss of life and keep a watch on all irrigation projects besides streams. The people have also been advised not to go near the over flowing streams. Gates of the Srisailam project over River Krishna have been lifted as heavy inflows reaching the reservoir. 
 
Meanwhile, 18.7 cms of the highest rainfall recorded in Khammam district during the past 24 hours. In Hyderabad 6.6 cms rainfall recorded since last evening. NIZAMABAD, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Siddipet Komrambhim Asifabad districts are among which recorded over 10 cms of rainfall till this morning. Lakshmi, airnews, Hyderabad".
