In our day to day life, many of us come across many facts and myths which we follow blindly. Well, now is the time to check some facts and myths that are very common in our everyday life. Bringing about a change in our lifestyle with these realities can help embrace healthy living.

Myth #1 : Starving and skipping meals causes weight loss

The “starvation diet” which means cutting down on calories you consume in a day may seem an effective strategy but will definitely backfire your metabolism. It is important to eat your meals keeping following things in mind for healthy weight loss:

Healthy meals at right time  Healthy meals in right quantity  Health meals in right quality

Going on a starvation diet is not a good idea as it will hamper your metabolism. A radical shift in eating may result in the opposite causing weight gain. Earring too little or starving yourself may cause the weight to bounce back. This is a very common notion followed by teenagers in order to get that figure like celebs.

Myth #2 : Popping a multivitamin is enough for the health

Many of us pop in a multivitamin to keep going. Well, consuming multivitamins is a good idea for better health. Here, it is important to note that having healthy meals and good quality supplements is a must.

By good quality, we point out the quality of absorption of multivitamins rather than high-end supplements.

So, here a question that will tick every person’s mind is how to judge the top quality supplement whether it's suiting me? Well, the answer is absorption rate. Remember, hair and nails are the last to receive the nutrients and vitamins. A supplement that helps in growing your nails and hair in 1 months time has a better absorption rate.

Myth# 3 Sticking to healthy diet and exercise requires willpower

“Practice makes a man perfect.” This quote holds quite true. To embrace a healthy lifestyle, you do not need a strong willpower. It is very simple by incorporating a healthy lifestyle in the form of diet and exercise is the best way to practise it. So, kickstart your routine with a healthy diet and exercise which will keep your energy levels and motivation high. This energy will keep your going everyday.

It does not matter whether you are building a healthy lifestyle by including the healthy diet foods or by just eliminating the not-so healthy habits like smoking and junk food.

Myth #4 Diet food is healthy food

Thinking of getting those ripped abs?Well, the thought of it fascinates you with diet food. We generally think that celebs eat those diet foods like diet chips and healthy munchies. Many diets are making headlines like the keto, intermittent fasting and the paleo diet. The truth is weight loss is not achieved by following diets or eating diet foods. You need to have wholesome healthy fruits and vegetables rich in nutrients for a better healthy body.

So, break these myths today to embrace healthy living.
