The United Arab Emirates welcomes the return of all residents who are currently residing abroad, while adhering to the Emirates’ decision on pre-examination before entering the country. This comes in conjunction with the announcement from National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to expand the approval of the results of medical examinations to include all accredited laboratories by governments in countries around the world.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority has affirmed that all travellers coming from all countries of the world must register on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. They must also communicate with the health centres accredited within their countries to complete the examination process within 96 hours of their flight and show a negative examination result to airlines, to ensure the health and safety of all travellers coming to the country. It is worth noting that the UAE emphasised the necessity of facilitating travel of residents from abroad countries for purposes of family reunification.

The state also noted the need to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures that were put in place upon their arrival to the UAE, starting with filling in the health form and performing the necessary examination as well as downloading the Al-Hosn application and adhering to all other procedures which have previously been announced.

Recently in a statement government said, UAE carried out five million COVID-19 tests with no deaths for third consecutive day and recovery rate of 90%. 

The announcement was made during a media briefing held in Abu Dhabi , during which Al Owais stressed that the UAE's policy to increase the number of laboratory tests has greatly contributed to the early detection and treatment of cases.

He praised the role of the front line medical teams and first responders and their great efforts since the beginning of the pandemic Al Owais added that the early detection of cases and the application of advanced treatment protocols contributed to a continuous increase in the rates of recovery, with the ratio now reaching nearly 90%, giving the UAE among the highest rates of recovery in the world.

Al Owais stressed that social visits and communication without observing the rules of physical separation constitute the greatest challenge in the battle against COVID-19, and he asked that the public's commitment to observing preventive measures would help to preserve the current successes and help to achieve greater achievements in the future.

With regard to the development of vaccines, H.E Al Owais explained that the UAE has achieved, in cooperation with a large group of international partners, a remarkable development as the third phase of the clinical trials that were launched during last July is continuing.

In a statement, the Ministry highlighted its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 189 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the UAE to 61,352.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and are receiving the necessary care.MoHAP also noted an additional 227 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 55,090.The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
