Hyderabad healthcare startup Vivalyf received Rs 56 lakhs in funding from Peyush Bansal of Lenskart and Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com.

Hyderabad healthcare startup Vivalyf received Rs 56 lakhs in funding from Peyush Bansal of Lenskart and Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com. The startup created a painless glucometer device. The device called ‘Ezlyf’ can help check one’s blood sugar level without pricking oneself. It gives no pain, is portable and non-invasive. 

The startup was the product of Duvvuru Varshitha and Vimal Kumar. The former was suffering from type1 diabetes since she was born. The 20-year-old made a pledge to solve the problem of pain diabetic faces every day to check his/her sugar levels. She left her chance of studying in India’ most prestigious college to help millions of diabetic patients. 

Globally, 537 million people suffer from diabetes. In India, 77.9 million suffer from the same disease. To help all these people sharks Peyush Bansal and Anupam Mittal invested in a startup with around 90% accuracy. The startup will try and make its accuracy go above 90% with more clinical trials.

Shark Tank first aired in the year 2001 as ‘Tigers of Money’ in Japan. After gaining success there they entered the UK. In 2005, it aired as Dragon’s Den in the UK. In 2009, the show was aired as ‘Shark Tank’ in the USA. Afterwhich, Sony Pictures Television made it an international show.
