Isolated wards established at all district hospital and government medical colleges in the state; 361 beds are made available.

As a measure of preparedness of the novel Coronavirus (nCoV) prevention and control, Quarantine (isolated wards) have been started at all the district hospitals and government medical colleges in the state. Presently 361 beds are available in 39 Quarantine in the state. Four people are under observation in the entire state which include two each in Mumbai and Pune. This information was given by Health Minister Mr Rajesh Tope here, today.

Till February 14, a total of 31 thousand 934 passengers were screened at the Mumbai International Airport. The information of those who returned from the affected areas is gathered through the regional surveys. Till date, 186 passengers have arrived in the state from the affected areas. Out of them, the follow-up of 14 days off 125 passengers had been completed. Till date, 48 people were admitted to various quarantines in the state since January 18 after they complaint of mild symptoms of fever, cold and cough. Out of these, the samples of 47 had been found to be negative for Corona virus. The reports were received from the National Institute of virology (NIV), Pune. The report of one more person is expected tomorrow. Out of 48 people admitted to various hospitals, 44 were released from the hospital, the health minister added.
