Andhra Pradesh resumes intra-state, inter-district bus services

Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) have resumed it’s intra-state and inter-district bus services from today. APSRTC had suspended bus services on March 21st in the wake of Covid-19 protocols. APSRTC Buses have started plying across the state from 7 AM onwards.

Passengers can reserve tickets from Online Passenger Reservation System of the APSRTC. APSRTC Vice Chairman and MD, M. Pratap said that wearing of masks will be mandatory for all passengers boarding the bus.

AAROGYA SETU mobile APP has been made mandatory for all passengers to travel in the bus.

On other news update, as part of Vande Bharat Mission, Indian nationals from London reached Kerala recently.

Eight more flights are scheduled to arrive in Kerala from United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Philippines and Russia.

Flight from Kuwait carrying 166 passengers and flight from Russia carrying 106 passengers is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram in a short while.

Two flights each from Riyadh and Muscat will be arriving in Kannur soon and flights from Salala and Muscat will also be reaching Kozhikode shortly.

A total of over 1,000 expatriates will be arriving in Kerala.

Meanwhile, 24 more COVID positive cases were confirmed in Kerala on 20.05 taking the total number of active cases in the state to 161.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the situation is getting serious and more restrictions will be made in containment zones.

He said that the safety of the returnees and the people at large will remain the priority.

Chief Minister further informed that as the Centre granted the permission to conduct State Board Exams, the remaning exams of Class 10th and 12th will commence from May 26th itself, as decided earlier, with adequate precautionary measures.
