CM confirmed that each priority category person will be given two doses

Delhi Government is fully prepared to receive, store and give vaccine to priority category persons in the national capital.

Addressing media today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, around 51 lakh priority category persons including health care workers and front line workers will be vaccinated first. He further added that they are being registered for COVID-19 vaccine.

He confirmed that each priority category person will be given two doses and a total of 1.2 crore doses will be required in the first phase of vaccination in the city. Mr. Kejriwal said the locations for the vaccination and required staff and officials for it have also been identified and are being trained.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate of COVID patients in Delhi stands at 97.03 per cent. The city recorded recovery of 1585 patients in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recovered patients till date to 6,01,268.

A total of 871 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus were reported in the National Capital during the last 24 hours. With this the total number of COVID cases reported in the Capital city so far, has reached to 6,19,618.

The Delhi Government confirmed that 18 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 10,347. The total number of active corona cases in the city now stands at 8 thousand three.
