The Health Ministry said, the total number of recoveries has reached over 59 lakh 88 thousand. The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country has reduced and currently comprises only 12.65 percent.

Government today said that the country's COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 85.81 per cent. During the last 24 hours, more than 82 thousand patients have recovered.

The Health Ministry said, the total number of recoveries has reached over 59 lakh 88 thousand. The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country has reduced and currently comprises only 12.65 per cent of the total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is eight lakh 83 thousand.

In the last 24 hours, 73 thousand 272 new cases have been reported taking the total number of positive cases in the country so far to over 69 lakh 79 thousand. The Ministry said, effective implementation of Centre's strategic and graded Test-Track-Treat approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.54 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally. In the last 24 hours, 926 deaths have been reported taking the toll to one lakh seven thousand 416.

According to ICMR, during the last 24 hours, more than 11 lakh 64 thousand tests have been conducted. The total sample tested so far has reached over eight crore 57 lakh.

In Puducherry the recovery rate from covid 19 stands at 83.10 percent, and the fatality rate is 1.79 percent as on today and  the number of Covid 19 new cases has shown a declining trend for the last few days.
 
Today 337 more persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease and 1  died  leaving 4719 active cases here. 411  persons were discharged from various hospitals of the four regions. Presently, 1736 persons are being treated in hospitals and another  2983 positive cases are under home isolation in the union territory.

So far, 31,233 persons were infected by the virus of which 25955 were treated and discharged and  559 died leaving  4719 active cases here.

Telangana state reported 1811 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the total COVID cases in the state went up 2 lakh 10 thousand 346. The state conducted over 50 thousand tests yesterday. The recovery rate also has improved to 87.01 per cent with 2072 more people recovering yesterday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to 1 lakh 83 thousand 25 . Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department this morning, stated that total deaths rose to 1217 following 9 more deaths reported during the past 24 hours.
