COVID-19 recovery rate reaches close to 91%

India's average daily COVID-19 fatality continues to decrease since the past six weeks. The Ministry said, this is due to timely hospitalization, provision of Standard Care prescribed in the National Treatment Protocol, use of non-invasive oxygen, steroids and anti- coagulents.

Union Government today said that the country's recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients has reached to 90.99 per cent.
 
More than 56 thousand COVID patients were recovered during the last 24 hours.
 

The total number of recoveries has reached over 73 lakh 15 thousand.
 

The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country is reduced and currently comprises only 7.51 per cent of the total positive cases.

 
Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is six lakh three thousand.

In the last 24 hours, 49,881 new cases were reported taking the total number of positive cases in the country so far to over 80 lakh. 
 
Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.50 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally.

In the last 24 hours, 517 deaths were reported taking the toll to 1,20,527.
 
According to Indian Council of Medical Research, more than 10 lakh 75 thousand tests were conducted during the last 24 hours.
 
The total number of sample tested so far has reached to over ten crore 65 lakh.
