When you exercise you find happiness says Yasmin Karachiwala, the fitness trainer behind the fabulous bodies of top Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu, Alia Bhatt, Ileana. Swear doesn’t burn calories. It is a myth. There is no relationship between these two: Fitness Expert

Hyderabad, December 18, 2023…. When you exercise you find happiness. When you workout your body releases Endorphin, a chemical (hormones).  Physical activity will help the production of the brain's feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins.

If you want to reduce weight, sleep for 7.5 hours.  Good sleep is one of the main guards your body has against diseases.  Sleep is important for your metabolism.  If you sleep for seven and a half hours, the quality of your day will be very good.  You will be energetic all through the day.

Sugar feeds cancer.  Sugar is the reason for many diseases.  Sugar intake causes coughing.  So do not eat refined sugar.

Sweat has nothing to do with burning calories. It is a myth.

Fitness is not a magic pill, you can’t just go to the shop and buy something.  You need to work on it: said Bollywood’s Fitness and Body Image Consultant while addressing an interactive session “Revolutionise Your Work Out” to 200 plus FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) members in a city hotel in Rajbhavan Road, on Monday.

Yasmin Karachiwala, the woman behind the fabulous bodies of top Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu, Alia Bhatt, Ileana and others was in the city on an invitation from FLO to address its members.  She spoke initially for a few minutes, followed by that she was in conversation with Ritu Shah, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad Chapter.  She gave a demo of a few strength training exercises.  She answered many questions from the attendees.

Doing what you like will become your lifestyle.  Doing what you don’t like is a burden she said.  Fitness is a lifestyle.  It is an effort.  It is not a trend.  It is a mindset. If you take it that way, then it will transform you, Yasmin told her audience.

Interacting with the media before the session Yasmin said that to be fit and to start an exercise, you need to understand your own body, strengths and limits.  You must increase the want factor.  You must identify what kind of a fitness person you are.  She listed out many fitness personalities such as Steadfast (who like to do what is right), Over Achievers (who like to live in the gym), Dreamer (they want that body, but don’t want to work out for it), Big Differ (they need constant stimulation) Sports Hobbyists (who get into fitness to pursue sports), Groupies (those who want to work in groups), Walkers, Reluctant, Time Poor and many other types.

When asked what is a good form of fitness, she said there is science behind every fitness program. All you need to see is what you enjoy doing the most.  Make Fitness your way of life, she said.

To be fit or not to be fit is no longer an option.  Be a fit or become a fatty person.  Choice is yours, she said.  If we can change our lifestyles, we can change our health, she added. You do exercises and learn the science behind it, she told her participants.

Sharing her journey, she said she never planned to be a fitness trainer. It just happened because of a friend, who took me to a Health Club. I went there reluctantly. I was one of the laziest people I hated.  I never exercised in my life before going to the health club.  I always excused myself and stayed away from any kind of fitness activity.

Regular exercise and nutritious food are the secrets behind what she is today.  At 53 years she is as young as a teenager.  She has two sons 26 and 23 years, who also got into fitness.

Speaking about her foray into Hyderabad she said, we had a studio here. We ran it for two years and then we had to close. I am looking to open one through a franchisee model, she said.  Currently, she has studios in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Delhi, Indore Dhaka (Bangladesh), and Dubai.  She is planning to open one in Bhopal.

Giving her opening remarks, Ritu Shah, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad said, “Strength is not just about lifting weights; it's about lifting yourself, pushing through challenges, and embracing the power within. Fitness is not a destination; it's a journey of self-discovery and resilience.” Today, our program, "Revolutionize Your Workout," aims to inspire and guide all of us towards better health, fitness, and overall well-being.
