8 Foods that could lower your risk of cancer

What you eat can drastically affect many aspects of your health, including your risk of developing chronic diseases cancer. The development of cancer is heavily influenced by your diet. Many foods contain beneficial compounds that could help decrease the growth of cancer

Due to changing lifestyles, we are falling prey to many diseases. Dangerous diseases like cancer are getting very common due to changing lifestyles. If we can make some changes in our diet, we can avoid many diseases to a great extent.

Guava - Apart from being a proper source of Vitamin C, other essential elements are also present in abundance in it. Its consumption helps in fulfilling the deficiency of blood in the body, as well as it helps in keeping the skin young.

Spinach - By consuming spinach rich in calcium, iron, fiber and anti-oxidant properties, the body gets all the necessary elements in one vegetable. It can be consumed as a vegetable or as soup. Spinach being a high source of vitamin A and fiber reduces the risk of many types of cancer along with getting the right amount of blood to the body.

Curd - Being a proper source of calcium, consuming a bowl of curd daily strengthens the muscles and bones. In fact, women need more calcium than men. Its consumption strengthens the digestive system and increases immunity, thus providing relief from stomach-related problems.

Soybean - Soybean contains elements like calcium, iron, vitamins, magnesium and folate. Consuming it regularly, the risk of getting breast cancer decreases manifold. 

Egg - Consumption of eggs rich in protein, iron, vitamins, fiber, folate and calcium etc. prevents many diseases. Especially for women suffering from anemia, consuming eggs helps in fulfilling the deficiency of blood.

Berries – These are high in anthocyanins, plant pigments that have antioxidant properties and may be associated with a reduced risk of cancer. Based on the findings of the study, serving one or two berries in your diet each day may help inhibit the development of cancer.

Carrots - Several studies have found that eating more carrots is linked to a decreased risk of certain types of cancer. Try incorporating carrots into your diet as a healthy snack or delicious side dish just a few times per week to increase your intake and potentially reduce your risk of cancer.

Broccoli - Broccoli contains sulforaphane, a plant compound found in cruciferous vegetables that may have potent anti-cancer properties. Broccoli with a few meals per week may come with some cancer-fighting benefits.
