Curry leaves are extensively used in India. They are widely used as seasonings in South Indian dishes like sambhar, chutney, rasam etc. Let’s know some other health benefits of it

People often use curry leaves to enhance the taste of food, but it has many other properties along with enhancing the taste of food. This is known to very few people that it is also helpful in reducing weight. Curry leaves have many other benefits and due to their properties, it is one of the effective home remedies for weight loss. It is rich in vitamins and also has anti-oxidant, anti-diabetic, and anti-microbial properties. 

Aids weight loss - By consuming curry leaves, the weight can be reduced quickly. It can be used in many ways. Its decoction can be made and drunk. Boil 10-12 curry leaves in a glass of water and drink it when the water gets half. First mix neem or basil leaves in i,t and then you can chew curry leaves.

How to make curry leaves tea - Drinking curry leaf tea is very good for your health. This tea helps in reducing weight. Take 2-3 cups of water and keep it on low flame. Add 8 to 10 curry leaves to it, along with a small piece of ginger. After boiling for 15 to 20 minutes, filter the water and add honey or lemon as per taste. Daily consumption of this tea will reduce weight.

Nutritional value - 100 grams of curry leaves provide around 108 calories of energy. They are rich in carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and other minerals. They also contain vitamins like vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, etc.

Beneficial in stomach-related diseases - Curry leaves are also beneficial in stomach-related diseases. Chewing curry leaves early in the morning is beneficial in case of constipation, acidity, stomach pain, indigestion, etc. 

Helpful in anemia - Vitamins are found in abundance in curry leaves. It also contains iron along with vitamin C, which fulfills the shortage of blood in the body. This can get rid of anemia.

Reduces heart diseases risk - Curry leaves protect our heart by preventing oxidative damage. Consumption of Curry leaves also decreases cholesterol levels. It also reduces the level of triglycerides. Reduction in risk factors thus helps in protecting us from heart diseases.

Analgesic - Curry leaves were found to be useful in relieving pain and used traditionally as an analgesic (pain reliever). 

Promotes oral health - Curry leaves create an environment in our mouth that prevents the development of bacteria. They thus help in maintaining oral health and preventing oral diseases.
