Hairfall is our common enemy. Men and women experience hair fall at certain stages in their life. To fight this nightmare, it is important to attack it both internally and externally. By eating nutrient-dense foods, it will replenish and give strength to our hair roots from within. It is important to eat foods that have a high content of iron and zinc. The former prevents hair fall while the latter helps hair growth. Biotin and protein-rich food help build hair. Similarly, we must protect our hair from external damage like pollution. 

4 Foods To Eat

Lentil

Lentils are a rich source of protein, zinc, and folic acid. Fill your diet with dal, chole, rajma and more. Include three servings of your favourite lentil daily. One can also enjoy cheela and sprout made chaat to gain that goodness for your fallen locks. 

Dairy

Consuming dahi or chaas daily can help you gain protein, vitamin B, vitamin B12 iron and zinc. It is an excellent alternative to vegetarians who cannot consume eggs.  

Amla Juice

Amla season is just beginning. Use this superfood to help you fight your hair fall problem. Consume amla juice on an empty stomach. It is a good source of vitamin C and helps your hair roost get strength. 

Flaxseeds 

Flaxseeds or alsi is a tiny gem full of omega-3 fatty acids. Not only does it protect your hair from falling it also protects from breakage and split ends. 

3 Hair Masks

Masoor Mask

One can crush pre-soaked masoor dal and add equal quantities of dahi or castor oil to it. Leave the mask for 30 minutes and the shower.  

Curry Leaves 

Curry leaves are a rich source of antioxidants. Apply it as a mask with soaked fenugreek seeds and dahi. Leave the mask for 30 minutes and then rinse. 

Egg Mask

An egg is known to be an excellent source of protein. Wisk a whole egg with some coconut oil. Apply to the roots of your hair and rinse after 30 minutes. It will not only reduce hair fall but also give you beautiful and silky hair.
