How to start walking for weight loss and other benefits

Walking has tremendous benefits, from supporting a healthy immune system to boosting your metabolism to strengthening your joints, muscles, and bones

Lifestyle is a way used by people, groups, and nations and is formed in specific geographical, economic, political, cultural and religious texts. In recent decades, lifestyle is an important factor in health. According to WHO, 60% of related factors to individual health and quality of life are correlated to lifestyle. With an unhealthy lifestyle, people have started getting all sorts of problems at early ages of life. According to experts, walking is very important to stay healthy. Walking is such a wonderful workout that not only activates the whole body but also promotes the functioning of organs. If you will make a habit of walking for 20 to 25 minutes in the morning and evening, this will have a positive effect on your overall health.

How many steps to walk - According to experts, every person should walk for 30 minutes daily i.e. about 10000 steps or 6 to 7 kilometers. Make sure you go a little faster than normal but if you are older then, you can walk slowly. Also, keep taking long breaths while walking so that the lungs get enough oxygen.

Benefits of daily walking

Lose Weight - Walking in the morning and evening burns 3500 calories which helps in controlling the weight. Walking is a healthy medicine for people of all ages. On the other hand, a morning walk will make you feel energetic throughout the day.

Keep the heart healthy - A morning walk helps in keeping your heart young too. According to research, people who walk 15,000 steps daily are less prone to heart diseases. Actually, walking increases blood circulation and keeps cholesterol under control.

Blood pressure control - High blood pressure invites many diseases. In such a situation, walking can prove beneficial for you. Blood pressure remains normal by taking a walk every morning and evening. 

Mental health - According to research, the hormones present in the brain and nervous system remain active, due to which the memory remains intact. It also reduces the risk of stress, dementia, depression, and Alzheimer's.

Lungs remain healthy - It is even more important for people to walk during the pandemic period because it keeps your lungs healthy. Any kind of viral infection affects your lungs the most, due to which the person can also die. So, going on a walk is a great option. 

Stomach remains clean - If you have problems like constipation, acidity, indigestion, then you should go for a walk for 20 to 25 minutes in the morning and evening. Apart from this, walk for 10 minutes even after your meal, this will surely prevent any stomach-related problems.
