Vitamins are also called life elements or protective elements, each vitamin has a different function and importance in the body. One type of vitamin alone is very less useful for the body, that is why we need all kinds of vitamins. On the basis of their solubility in water, vitamins are kept in two categories -

(1) Water-soluble vitamins – B and C

(2) Fat-soluble vitamins – A, D, E, K

Out of these, Today we are going to discuss about the importance of vitamin B complex

(a) Water-soluble B vitamins

Vitamin B consists of eleven vitamins (B1, B2, B3 ....B12), so vitamins in this group are also referred to as 'B complex'. Nitrogen is a major component of all B vitamins. All these vitamins have different effects on the animal.

Vitamin B1 - Also called thiamin hydrochloride, is white and crystalline and is soluble in water. Found in peas, egg yolk, pork, milk, and cereals. Adult males need 1.2 to 1.4 mg. Is required.

Vitamin B2 - It is also called riboflavin. It is found in abundance in milk, leafy vegetables, and fruits. Fruits and vitamin B2 are also called nicotinic acid or niacin.

Vitamin B3 - Also known as pantothenic acid. This vitamin is found exclusively in the liver and kidneys.

Vitamin B6 - This is a white crystalline substance found in abundance in peas, meat, fish, egg yolk, and milk.

Vitamin B12 - It is a red-colored crystalline vitamin, it is mainly found in abundance in milk, milk products, meat and eggs.

The necessary quantity of elements that are useful for development and protection should be taken. Diet is necessary for us to take a balanced diet to get food-related protection and longevity of our body. But it is a matter of regret that the diet of the people in the study area is not according to their physical needs. It is a big deal that a large number of people in the study area should get enough food at both times, then to talk about a balanced diet would be a mockery of them. This is not only a problem of the study area, but this problem is present in the whole of India. People who have opportunities to get a balanced diet are also not able to get a balanced diet due to ignorance, that is why not only in the study area but also in the whole of India, the health of the general public is of low quality.

So, include these Vitamins in your daily balanced diet for a healthy lifestyle
