Improve your eye sight and get rid of spectacles with these simple natural remedies

Increased screen time and unhealthy lifestyles are contributing to the rise of spectacles at a very young age. Try these simple tips and natural remedies to get rid of spectacles.

Every one of us is blessed with good natural eyesight. But due to increased screen time, unhealthy lifestyle, and improper diet, nowadays people are getting specs at a very young age irrespective of whether they like it or not. After getting specs, we all start trying different methods to get rid of spectacles. Thus, we start eating certain types of food, exercise, eye drops and of course lifestyle management.

Eye exercise – An increased screen time can harm your eyes and degrade the version. Thus, you can do certain exercises while working in front of a screen. 

  • Take frequent breaks from looking at the screen and blink your eyes multiple times to relax them. 
  • You can also do eye-rolling, it improves eye health by strengthening eye muscles. Roll your eyes first in the clockwise direction and then in an anticlockwise direction for 10 minutes. 
  • Put palm on your eyes, fingers on your forehead, and blink repeatedly. Relax your eyes and don’t put any pressure.
  • After completion of work on your screen, rub your hands and place them on your eyelids. This will provide relief from eye strain.

Healthy eating – Poor diet means insufficient nutrition and insufficient nutrition will not allow the body to function properly. As a result, the functioning of organs deteriorates and so does the eyes. Supplementing your body with natural sources of essential vitamins and minerals are much more effective than taking pills for these micronutrients. Thus, incorporate these foods into your daily diet

  • Green leafy vegetables
  • Vitamin C-rich foods like orange, lemon etc
  • Nuts
  • Fish, salmon, tuna
  • Foods with high levels of vitamin E, C, and A, such as milk, cheese, spinach, cranberries, papaya, olives, carrots, etc. 
  • Say no to smoking. Avoid passive smoking also if you can.
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Include fruits like grapes, and blueberries.

Some natural remedies to get rid of spectacles

  • Try getting up early in the morning and going for a walk. You should walk barefoot on green grass.
  • Wash your eyes with amla water and pour rose water drops regularly twice a day.
  • Put water in a copper jug, let it rest overnight, and drink it in the morning. Copper is believed to be beneficial for the body, specifically for the eyes.
  • Add onion and garlic to the diet as they contain sulphur and promote the production of antioxidant- glutathione, for the eyes.
  • Include almonds in your daily regime as it is rich in vitamin E which is good for your eyes.
  • Eat protein-rich foods, they promote better eye health.

Tips that promote a good eye health

  • Eat healthy food items (foods rich in vitamin A and E) that promote good eyesight.
  • Keep your eyes clean, away from dust and dirt, and other environmental pollutants.
  • Take sufficient sleep.
  • Try to sleep in a dark room with no harsh lights.
  • Avoid excess use of phones or laptops late at night before going to bed.
