14 more dies at WB due to Covid 19

The death toll from COVID-19 crossed the 100 mark in West Bengal on Sunday with 14 more people succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the fatalities to 113, a state government bulletin said.
The state also reported 153 fresh cases, the highest in a day so far. Of the 14 deaths Kolkata alone counted for 10.
West Bengal has so far reported 1,939 coronavirus cases of which 1,337 are active cases.
As many as 4,046 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and a total of 43,414 since the outbreak of the viral disease, it said.

Seven buses of Haryana transport with migrants leave towards UP from Ambala

Seven buses of Haryana Roadways carrying 267 migrant labourers from Ambala departed for Uttar Pradesh on Sunday amid lockdown. "267 people have been sent on seven buses. Three buses with 122 people have left for Shamli, two buses with 67 people for Saharanpur and two buses with 78 people for Bhagpat. They will be dropped at the border," RK Gupta, Nodal officer said.
He further said that the passengers have been given packed food, water and sanitiser. "These people had come for registration on Saturday and on Sunday we sent them off," he added. Meanwhile, the passengers expressed both delight and satisfaction of finally being able to reach their homes.
"I had never hoped that arrangements will be done to help us reach home. After four days of walking, I am feeling extremely happy to be sitting on the bus that will take me home," said one of the migrant labourers.

Shramik Special leaves for Uttarakhand from Gujarat

A 'Shramik special' train carrying around 1200 passengers departed from Gujarat's Surat on May 10 amid coronavirus lockdown. The passengers will reach Uttarakhand's Kathgodam on May 11. The information of passengers was provided by Uttarakhand Chief Minister's Office (CMO). There are total 7796 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Gujarat. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 41, 472 with 2109 deaths in India.
