Madhya Pradesh:- In Madhya Pradesh, the number of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed to around 1 lakh 77 thousand after 891 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. With 11 patients succumbing to the infection, the death toll rose to 3 thousand 28. As per the state health bulletin, 688 coronavirus patients were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours taking the number of recovered cases in the state to more than 1 Lakh 66 thousand. There are now 7,928 active cases in Madhya Pradesh. More than 28 thousand tests were conducted in the state last day. At the same time, around 31 lakh tests have been conducted so far. Now more than 200 patients are being reported daily only in Bhopal in the state, while in the remaining districts the number of new patients has come down to less than 50. For the convenience of common people, 711 fever clinics are being operated in the state. 

Telangana:- Telangana state reported 857 COVID cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the total COVID cases in the state have gone up to 2 lakh 51 thousand 188. With 1504 more people recovering yesterday the recovery rate stands at 91.79 percent. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to 2 lakh 30 thousand 568. Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department this morning stated that total deaths rose to 1381 following 4 more people succumbing during the past 24 hours. Currently, the state has about 19 thousand active cases out of which over 16 thousand are in home isolation.

Odisha:- In Odisha, covid-19 recovery has reached 2,88,168. On the other hand, with 1434 fresh cases, the total caseload of the state has gone up to 3,01,574. While the state is nearing the 50 lakh mark in-sample test, the active caseload has dipped to 13,239. Covid-19 fatalities in the state have increased to 1,425.

Andhra Pradesh:- In Andhra Pradesh, 2,237 more Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded during the last 24 hours. 2,256 persons have recovered and been discharged from hospitals across the state during the last 24 hours. At least 86,63,975 samples have been tested so far in the State. 

Karnataka:- In Karnataka, 2,235 recoveries and 2,258 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday. At the same time, 22 people died of the pandemic. The 78 private labs and 42 government labs in the state conducted 1,06,317 Covid tests, out of which 78,494 were RT PCR tests. Tests per million population in the last ten days have been 15,057. The positivity rate for the day is 2.12 percent and the case fatality rate is 0.97 percent. The recovery rate recorded for the day is around 94 percent. Pandemic remains dynamic in Bengaluru urban district where 1,046 new Covid cases and seven deaths were reported yesterday. Total Active cases remain at 33,320 out of which 887 are in ICU. Out of 11,369 deaths reported to date, 6,172 were those above 60 years, 2,929 were between 51 to 60, and 1,502 were between the age group of 41 and 50. Karnataka Health department is planning to directly appoint 2500 doctors to tie over the shortage of doctors. It is also planning to conduct tests of those staying in homestays in tourist places.

Tamil Nadu:- In Tamil Nadu, the active Covid-19 caseload has come down to 18,894. In the last 24-hours, 2334 people tested positive for the viral infection including 601 in Chennai. 30 of the 37 districts in Tamil Nadu witnessed new cases in two digits, including three districts in a single digit. The loss of life of 20 people yesterday has been reported only in nine districts. Meanwhile, the state education department is holding consultations with the parents of high and higher secondary class students this morning on the reopening of the schools, which was earlier scheduled on the 16th of this month. The government is expected to take a call on the date of reopening based on the feedback they get from the parent's meeting, as reservations have been expressed about the safety of the children in some quarters. 

Gujarat:- Gujarat recorded 1020 new Corona cases during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate has improved to 91.09 percent. Gujarat has recorded a total of 1 lakh 80 thousand 699 cases till now. Out of these, 1 lakh 64 thousand 596 patients recovered. 819 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. More than 64 lakh 68 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.  Maximum 194 new cases reported from Surat, while Ahmedabad recorded 185 new cases. At present total, active cases in the state are 12340, out of which 68 patients are on a ventilator. 7 patients died yesterday taking the total deaths due to Covid19 up to 3763.
