In Karnataka, the pandemic is showing a decline with reduced positivity and fatality rates. It reported 1505 new cases of Covid 19 and 12 related fatalities yesterday.

In Karnataka, the pandemic is showing a decline with reduced positivity and fatality rates. It reported 1505 new cases of Covid 19 and 12 related fatalities yesterday.

At the same time, 1067 patients were discharged after recovery thereby taking the recovery rate to over 95 percent.
 

The Positivity rate reported yesterday was 1.25 percent and the Case Fatality rate of 0.79 percent. Out of 25,316 active cases in the state, 24,907 were in isolation at designated hospitals, while 409 are in ICU.
 
Out of new cases, reported yesterday, Bengaluru Urban had the highest caseload of 844 cases. It also reported seven deaths.
  
The high testing rates and early detection of infections have helped contain the pandemic in the state. Over one crore six lakh nine thousand tests are conducted in the state till now.
 


Bengaluru urban district with the highest positivity and the case fatality rate is also showing a decline in the number of new cases and deaths.

The Health Department has opened testing camps on roadsides at every nook and corner of Bengaluru city. On average over 50000 tests are conducted every day.
 
The number of deaths in October was 897 which has come down to 233 this month. The case fatality rate was 0.89 percent last month and this month it is 0.82 percent.
 
Till date 24,76,024 contacts are traced along with 11,43,977 primary contacts and 13,32,047 secondary contacts. The number of containment zones has come down to just two in the city.
