Nutraceutical startup, Laurik has raised $485,790 funds in its ideation stage. The funding round was led by Murthy Aradhi of FastCollab and an early-stage venture capital Finance at Antler.

Founded in 2020 by Lavanya Sunkari and Archana Chindam, Laurik offers Lauric enhanced coconut shots. These shots improve one’s skin and hair conditions. Lauric acid fights acne-causing bacteria, moisturises the skin and reduces acne scars. So far the startup has delivered 1.5 lakh shots. Their shots can be taken as a drink or eaten.

This startup is the second Indian brand to receive the Clean Label Certification from the Clean Label Project. This is the highest level of certification given by the United States. So far only 100 brands globally have received this certification.

The startup offers Collagen Boosters, Skin Care Shots and Anti-Ageing Shots for men and women. Similarly, there are Hair Care Shots for both of them. After using their shots, 95% noticed glowing skin and 89% noticed a reduction in hair fall.

The startup had received recognition and funding from Telangana Government and the T-Fund programme. The current funds will be used to expand their market penetration, their team and improve their R&D. The Indian nutraceutical market will grow with a CAGR of 15% in the next 5 years.
