Industrial oxygen banned to treat the Corona patients

After Maharashtra prohibited the supply of oxygen, the Madhya Pradesh government has taken several steps to deal with the situation. Under this, the state government has banned the industrial use of oxygen. A few days ago the Rajasthan government has also imposed a similar ban. Rajasthan has also stopped oxygen supply to other states.

Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang sai that the industrial use of oxygen has been banned for a short time so that immediate medical needs can be met. Since the Maharashtra government put a halt on oxygen supply, many areas, including Jabalpur and Shivpuri, have faced a shortage of oxygen. Oxygen demand has increased due to increase in Corona case in Jabalpur.

However, now the state government claims that it has surplus medical oxygen. Minister Vishwas Sarang said, 'We have got an additional 30 tonnes of oxygen from SAIL's plant in Chhattisgarh. Therefore, immediate needs are being taken care of. But we need to be self-sufficient as soon as possible. So we are allocating land to a company in Babai, where they will set up a plant which will be operational within the next eight to nine months.

According to the government's claim, 180 metric tonnes of medical oxygen is being supplied in the state while the demand is 110 to 120 metric tonnes per day.

Presently there are now more than 90,000 corona positive cases in Madhya Pradesh. There were 2483 new Corona cases in the state on Monday. For the last five days, an average of 2000 people is being found corona positive for the last five days. Along with the increasing cases of the Corona, many challenges are also facing the state government regarding resources for treatment. However, the state government claims that it is capable of handling the situation.
