Bengaluru healthcare provider, Medfin, has raised $15 million in its Series B funding round.

Bengaluru healthcare provider, Medfin, has raised $15 million in its Series B funding round. The investors of this round are Arka Nxt Ventures, HealthXCapital, Axilor Ventures, Blume Ventures, Sony and Kotak Investment.

Launched by Arjun Kumar, Arun Kumar and Sidharth Gurjar, Medfin aims to become a platform that has various treatment options along with expert surgeons on board. They offer affordable surgery options right in the patient's city. They have so far conducted around 34,000 consultations and have completed around 3000 surgeries since its start in 2017.

With the fund, the startup plans to expand its presence in 25+ cities in India. They also have plans to become the one-stop solution for people looking for over 250 surgeries. The startup is on its way to becoming India’s largest day-care surgery provider, according to investor Arka Nxt Ventures.

Their plan for the year 2022 is to complete 1 lakh surgeries. The startup had raised Rs 77 million as seed fund in 2019. Later in December 2020, they had raised $4 million in funds from Dream Incubator and Axilor. Their portfolio of surgeries ranges from orthopaedics to ophthalmology. Apart from this, they have surgical offerings in vascular surgery, proctology, gynaecology, urology and more.
