MedTel Healthcare

MedTel Healthcare is primarily into Remote Patient Monitoring and population screening in a smarter way. They have developed an app that is connected to several IoT-based devices which not only tests various health parameters in less time but also provides analytics, health scores, etc.

“We wanted to make a change at the grassroots level through our products,” says Dr. Soumyakant.

They have been catering to hospitals, diagnostic centers, insurance companies, pharma companies, govt projects, and RPM.

MedTel Healthcare and COVID

They have offered Remote Patient Monitoring during COVID. The products also have an alarm management system (lodging system) that tells when the patient needs to go to the hospital. They have clear protocols for approval, the need for oxygen cylinders, and monitoring saturation in a continuous manner.

Post-COVID also, they have screened several patients with post-COVID symptoms or with co-morbidities because they were at higher risk of contracting the virus thereby saving several lives during and after the pandemic too.

MedTel solutions have transformed a lot, they have got more advanced. MedTel Healthcare has 50+ B2B clients across India and is present in 5 countries.

MedTel iLab and MedTel iRPM

MedTel iLab – B2B product used for population screening that assesses 16+ parameters in just 10 minutes.

MedTel iRPM – B2C product for home monitoring, personalized screening for diabetes, hypertension, and pregnancy

Infra needed for Remote Patient Monitoring

India needs multiple health supports or health partners to serve such a huge population. Government regulatories are promoting digital health and thus the entire ecosystem is growing. The rules and regulations are in favor or the support of digital startups and entrepreneurs are finding it way more helpful. There is a need for more investors who can fund the startups. There is also a huge requirement of trained workers too. Upcoming Startups can provide training to these workers and upskill their knowledge for health tech and healthcare projects, simultaneously this will also solve the problem of unemployment.

Dr. Soumyakant concludes, “Digital therapeutics and analytics are a layer above the core product. Now we are getting into home monitoring through RPM. The personalized health data from digital therapeutics will tell you how to manage your health and improve the abnormal parameters. The platform will eventually make changes in your daily lifestyle habits that will help you to maintain your health in a better way. This will also aid you in maintaining and living a healthy lifestyle. So, it’s a habit changing through technology.”
