Rural Livelihood Mission begins Didi Vehicle Service for safe delivery of rural women in Madhya Pradesh

In the tribal-dominated Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh, the women of Rural Livelihood Mission have started Didi Vehicle Service for rural women for the safe delivery. This vehicle service is completely free.

The women of Rural Livelihood Mission have started this service for 29 villages of 10 Gram Panchayats of Petlavad development block of Jhabua.

Arpit Tiwari of Livelihood Mission said that this vehicle will also be available for other emergency services.

Sugna Parmar, a member of this livelihood group informed proudly that we are providing vehicle completely free. Another member Jamna Katara, said that the women are bearing the expenses of Didi vehicle service through the interest, they earn on their savings.

At a time of COVID-19 outbreak, when vehicles are not available for free even in cities, Didi vehicle service is proving to be a lifeline for pregnant rural women in tribal areas.

Other news update, in Madhya Pradesh, the General Administration Department has issued instructions that now all private and government offices located even in the Red Zone can work with presence of 50 per cent employees and 100 per cent officers. At the same time, the MP Board of Secondary Education has also released the examination program for the remaining subjects of Higher Secondary.

The examinations will be held from 9th June to 15th June. It is noteworthy that in view of the COVID 19 outbreak, all the examinations conducted by the MP board from 20th March to 31st March were postponed.

Meanwhile, there are 227 new cases reported in the last 24 hours in Madhya Pradesh. As a result, the number of people infected with Corona virus in the state has increased to 5 thousand 875. The highest number of cases 2 thousand 774 has reported in Indore district. The death toll from COVID-19 has also increased to 267 in Madhya Pradesh. The maximum number of 107 patients has died in Indore. The good news is that 2 thousand 733, around half of the patients have been cured in the state so far.
