An aggregate of 1,269 patients was released from several hospitals in the last 24 hours.

The figure of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai rose by 1,201 to 85,326 on Monday while the number of deaths spiked by 39 to 4,935, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

An aggregate of 1,269 patients was released from several hospitals in the last 24 hours, increasing the number of the recovered cases to 57,152, the BMC said in an announcement.

Mumbai now has 23,249 active cases. A total of 762 new COVID-19 cases have been admitted in several hospitals, the BMC said.

Mumbai's healing rate presently stands at 67 per cent while the doubling rate of cases stands at 44 days, the BMC said, adding that the all-around growth rate of cases is 1.60 per cent.

According to the BMC data, K-East, G-north and P-north wards have around 5000 cases each.

The K-East (Andheri East) ward has 5,715 cases, G-north (Dadar, Mahim and Dharavi) has 5,217 cases while the number of cases under P-north (Malad) ward is 5,129, it started.
The B ward (Dongari) has the least number i.e. 799 cases. The number of active cases in E ward (Byculla), which had reported 3,336 cases, is just nine, followed B and C wards with 229 and 267 active cases, each.

The greatest number of 382 deaths had been documented in the G-north ward and the lowest 48 in Award, the civic body said.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday, will establish four new temporary COVID-19 treatment facilities positioned at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Dahisar, Mulund and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

They altogether have the potential of 3,520 beds. Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally today rose to 2,11,987 with 5,368 fresh cases.

According to the state health department, 204 new deaths were reported today taking the toll to 9,206.

A total of 3,522 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the number of recovered persons to 1,15,262. While there are 87,681 active cases in the state at present.

Mumbai's largest slum, Dharavi, today reported 11 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total count to 2,334.

A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said Dharavi has only 509 active cases now as 1,735 patients have already recovered and discharged from COVID-19 facilities
