MP and Gujarat governments have made it clear that complete lockdown will not be imposed in the states

Madhya Pradesh has decided to impose night curfew in five cities due to increasing Coronavirus cases in the state. 
However, the government has made it clear that complete lockdown will not be imposed in the state.

According to official information; there will be a night curfew from today in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Ratlam and Vidisha from 10 pm to 6 am. The government has decided to close schools up to 8th till December 31 in the state. The colleges will also remain closed.

Students from class 9 to college level can come to school and college for guidance as per the Covid-19 guidelines. The cinema halls can still operate with 50 per cent seating capacity as per prior arrangement.

In a review meeting held in Bhopal on COVID-19 yesterday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed that a meeting of Crisis Management groups in all the districts should be called and get suggestions regarding the status of Corona.

The Chief Minister also directed to strictly enforce the use of masks and limit the number of people in marriage ceremonies and cultural events.

The Gujarat Government imposed a complete curfew during the weekend from 9 pm yesterday in Ahmedabad city. The night curfew from 9 pm to 6 am will remain in force from Monday onwards until further orders. AIR correspondent reports that this decision has been taken to curb the rising number of Covid 19 cases in recent days.

In Gujarat, the weekend curfew will remain in force from 9 pm on Nov 20 to 6 am on Monday in Ahmedabad city. Essential services like medical stores and milk parlours will remain open during the curfew period. Gujarat State Transport Corporation has announced that their buses will not operate from Ahmedabad city during the curfew hours. City bus services also remained off the road during the curfew. However, the passengers coming or going by air or train will be allowed on presentation of proper documents.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has denied the possibility of fresh lockdown in the state. He appealed to the people not to panic as the curfew is for precautionary measures. He appealed to the people to follow the compulsory mask rule and avoid crowding.
