The number of COVID patients in Chhattisgarh has crossed two lakh. Currently, more than 23 thousand patients are being treated in various hospitals or in-home isolation.

The number of COVID patients in Chhattisgarh has crossed two lakh. Currently, more than 23 thousand patients are being treated in various hospitals or in-home isolation.

Meanwhile, the state government is trying to strengthen facilities in the state for the treatment of Covid-19.
 

In Chhattisgarh, at present, there are more than two and a half thousand beds with oxygen facilities in various government health centers. The state government is trying to increase about five thousand more such beds. Oxygen units have also been set up in every medical college to ensure the availability of oxygen to corona infected patients in the state.

For the treatment of Corona patients, twenty-nine Covid care hospitals and one hundred twenty-seven Covid care centers are operational in the state.
 

Besides, two hundred and thirteen ambulances have been deployed for Corona patients. Of these, one hundred and ninety-three have basic lab facilities, while twenty ambulances are equipped with modern lab facilities.

To identify corona infected patients in the state, twenty-two thousand to twenty-five thousand samples are currently being tested daily.
 
Apart from this, health workers in rural and urban areas of Chhattisgarh are going door-to-door to identify people with symptoms similar to Corona infection under the Health Protection Campaign.
 
Meanwhile, people are being made aware by the government to adopt Covid appropriate behavior and are being encouraged to use masks, maintain a safe distance, and wash hands periodically.
