Rajasthan assembly has passed the Rajasthan Epidemic Diseases (Amendments bill 2020) making it mandatory to wear masks. The bill prohibits the movements of any person in a public place, public transport, workplace or at any Social, Political, general function or gathering. The bill, however, does not specify the penalties if someone caught without masks.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID cases has crossed 2 lakh in Rajasthan after 1,748 new cases reported yesterday. It was reported that more than 1,82,000 people have been recovered from the infection in the state so far. Just 1,105 patients recovered from infection yesterday, the lowest in the last 51 days. Due to this, the number of active patients has also been increased.

Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Alwar, Nagaur and Ajmer districts are most affected by the infection. More than 300 people are still found infected in Jaipur every day. In Jodhpur too, a large number of new cases are reported daily. 1,926 people have died due to this disease in the state so far, There has been a decrease in the testing of corona samples in the month of October as compared to September.
