9 Tips to eat white rice and still lose weight

Nutritionists and health experts often suggest a low-calorie and low-fat diet lose weight. According to experts, white rice is a gluten-free grain, which is low in fats and is easy to digest. Here are few tips that make white rice healthy

Generally, we Indians are fond of a variety of food. It is very difficult to have control over this. Different parts of our country have different cuisines. People of the northeast prefer to eat rice. Generally those who want to lose weight are advised not to eat rice. Here’s how you can lose weight by eating rice

Dal rice combo is best -The body gets essential amino acids from this combination which are not made in the body. 

Cook rice in the pot - Cook rice with more water in a pot instead of a cooker. Remove its starch once it is boiled, this will increase its nutritional value.

Make pulao rice and not plain - If you feel hungry again and again, make pulao rice and eat it. By adding vegetables, its nutritional value will also increase and the stomach will remain full. Due to this, you will not feel hungry and this will help you in losing weight.

Eat rice at one time - Eat rice only once to lose weight. You can have rice preferably in the afternoon. Adjust the consumption of rice according to your dietary needs.

Keep an eye on the portion - The first thing to keep in mind, if you are planning to lose weight is to keep a check on the portion. Make sure that you consume small portions and do not pair other forms of carbohydrates or fats with rice.

Eat vegetables with white rice - If you like white rice then eat vegetables or lentils with it. But keep in mind that the vegetables should be roasted or grilled. You can have chicken, broccoli, etc. 

The right way to cook rice - You can eat it boiled, grilled, or roasted. This reduces the amount of fat in it. It doesn't increase your calorie intake.

Source of calories - Rice is prebiotic that not only fills your stomach but also feeds the microbes present in the stomach. Calories are also needed for weight loss, which is found in rice.

Avoid fried rice - If you want to lose weight then don't eat fried rice. Also, it is better to consume unpolished brown or red rice instead of polished white rice.
