Emphasis on implementation of blood banks in rural areas can help save lives

In India, only about 11 million blood donations are made annually compared to the required 13.5 million for the nation's 1.35 billion people (1%), leaving a gap of almost 2 million. Bagmo Pvt Ltd. makes life easier by supplying blood and establishing blood banks.

Blood donation is the most valuable gift one can make to another human being, but when the world faces a massive crisis such as the coronavirus pandemic, it is critical to consider blood donation. An adult can pass away from a bleeding wound in a crucial area in less than five minutes. Some areas, like  the neck, can be very challenging to control. In rural areas due to lack of inventory, blood banks ,transportation ,manpower and essential electricity services there are numerous cases of fatalities and health complications.

According to World Health Organisation "Blood donation by 1% of the population is generally the bare minimum for meeting a nation's most basic blood needs. As per the 2016-17 data, India fell short of the WHO standard by 1.9 million units (or 15%). At the end of March, 2022, there were 3840 licensed blood banks (blood centers) in the country.

We wanted to start working on that .”describes co-founder of Bagmo Pvt Ltd. Ashfaq Ashraf. This incident made Ashraq Ashraf start the company and the government gave a grant which was a blessing for the company.

Recently Bagmo Pvt Ltd. started marketing activities and started spending in marketing areas as well. The Major fund was collected as a grant from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC).
