We often end up overeating our favorite meal or food. It gives us a satisfactory feeling. But many times it can also make you physically uncomfortable due to overeating. Try out these simple methods to get relief from it

The feeling of heaviness in the stomach after eating food has become a serious health condition for people these days. This heaviness can cause problems ranging from restlessness to sleeplessness. In such a situation, the easy way to deal with this problem is to eat a little less than your appetite. But despite this, if you feel heaviness in the stomach, then follow these four methods

Green Cardamom - Eating cardamom after a meal can relieve the heaviness of your stomach and can also help indigestion. Cardamom is excellent in preventing bloating of your stomach and removing the unpleasant smell from your mouth. Therefore, you can chew one or two green cardamoms after eating food.

Honey - Honey is one of such medicines which is beneficial in eating as well as being tasty. Eating honey after a meal removes the heaviness in the stomach and also increases immunity. So, after having the meals, eat 1-2 spoons of honey with remembrance.

Soaked flax seeds - You can also use flaxseeds for heaviness after meals. It not only specializes in removing the heaviness of the stomach but is also effective in cleaning the stomach. Therefore, after eating food, eat the soaked flax seeds at night and in the morning.

Fennel and sugar - You can also eat fennel and sugar candy to avoid the heaviness of your stomach after eating food. Not only this, but you can also use it to remove the smell of onions or food. It is often used as a mouth freshener too.

Light exercise – Light exercise after eating such as going for a walk will help in relieving the heaviness in the stomach.

No talking while eating – If you talk while having food, there are chances that you will swallow air. This can cause build-up of air in the GI tract leading to heaviness. 

Avoid fatty foods

Reduce intake of caffeine and alcohol 

You can also use baking soda and peppermint for quick relief from stomach heaviness.
