Home grown pharma company Glenmark who are selling skin products under Candid name from lastr 40 years refused to share their brand identity with Revlon.A case was filed against Revlon and their Indian counterpart 'Modi Mundipharma' on November last year for patient infringement. Revlon tried to defend their case stating that they were using this name 'Candid' globally last couple of year and introduced the product in Inda last September.

However, an injunction is levied on Revlon and their Indian distributor that in future they can not manufacture or sell any product by the name 'Candid' and it was also decided that Revlon can sell their existing stock until first week of June, this year.
